MEP ENGINEER - HAVAC Expert Angola

International group is looking for a skilled and experienced MEP Engineer with solid experience in HAVAC to join a Technical team Company Group. As an MEP Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems of various construction projects. Your role will involve collaborating with designers, project managers, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure the smooth integration of MEP systems within the overall building design.

The ideal candidate will have specific experience in large scale and complex MEP related Projects such as Hospitals and Smart Buildings. You must be able to keep a close eye on the design process, to get the best design, with the quality required, in a cost-effective way, timely manner. You must have experience coordinating and monitoring systems tests, trial, starts and operation.

Main functions and responsibilities:

• Provides expertise and guidance on cooling, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in different phases of a HVAC system development: design, construction, tests and commissioning, warranty.
• Review and analyze MEP shop drawings and submittals from contractors to ensure compliance with design intent and project specifications.
• Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and equipment selection to optimize system performance and energy efficiency.
• Collaborate with the construction team during the construction phase to address MEP-related issues, provide technical support, and ensure successful project completion.
• Conducts field studies on HVAC facilities; identifies, recommends, and tests strategies to solve problems and concerns.
• Researches and proposes expansion, upgrades, and/or necessary maintenance work required to maintain and improve infrastructure.
• Determines appropriate materials and equipment required for projects and facilities including choosing and comparing different types of HVAC systems, cooling, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, and plumbing, pumps, pipes, conduits.
• Reviewing drawings and schematics to verify that they meet industry standards and are technically accurate.
• Preparing detailed estimates of project costs, including labor requirements and material costs.
• Provides definition of HVAC interaction with BMS / GTC systems and interact efficiently with other specialties: Hydraulics and electrical.
• Evaluates the energy efficiency of buildings and designing energy efficient systems for them.
• Conducts energy audits to identify opportunities for energy conservation and recommending solutions.
