DC Manager

Overall mission:
The manager is responsible for planning resources necessary to fulfill DC flows/plan, and also exceed productivity a quality threshold.
The manager is responsible to deeply understand metrics and standards of the area, teaching and coaching the team of leaders and associates, negotiating with external areas, building safe and positive employee relations and building leadership bench strength within the Distribution Center.


Key job responsibilities:
- Drives creation of staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, process improvements initiatives, benchmark and implementation of standards to enable his/her Functional Area and ultimately the DC to meet and exceed Business Plan;
- Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds area Leaders accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments;
- Leverages the Operations, Regional and Sales Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas, and rolling them into the creation of improvement plans for the functional area;
- Takes proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and among the network;
- Works closely with support staff (HR Manager, Supply Chain Managers, Industries, Financial Manager, Facilities Manager, Ops. Managers, IT Manager) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in his/her area, as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives;
- Able to address operational and personnel issues affecting functional area;
- Surface issues with potential to affect multiple functional areas, along with ideas for solutions, to Supply Chain Managers, General Manager and / or HR.

Requisitos mínimos

Basic qualifications:
You have a completed Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university;
You have 4+ years of experience leading other leaders; you have direct experience managing front-line;
supervisors and have been responsible for supporting their performance and their associates;
You have 4+ experience identifying and implementing large-scale process improvement initiatives using data driven techniques (performance metrics or Lean techniques);
You have 4 or more years of management experience in a manufacturing, production, or distribution environment;
You also have experience motivating and leading a contingent workforce.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays;
- Experience with employee and performance management;
- Experience in performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience Basic ualifications.
